2021.11.30 11:56 ancraig Does anyone still use a lot of skyriggers?

I have like 12 of each version but when I get to writing a list, I always end up pulling them back out for other things like boats and thunderers. IDK, their damage output just seems really bad in comparison to anything else in the book. At most I might take 1 unit of 3 if I have an extra 120ish points left when most of my list is made. Has anyone had success with using several squads or a few reinforced squads?

2021.11.30 11:56 Suspicious_Scar6435 18[M4F] online I want a Korean girlfriend to spend lots of time with online and maintain a healthy relationship with

Hi you. I want you to be my girlfriend. We're going to text each other about anything and everything and we're going to learn off of each other and help each other grow as a person. I'm going to love you a lot and take care of you best as possible how does this sound?
About me. I'm 5'7, fair and athletic. As far as physique goes this is it.
Personality wise.
Clingy. I'll start of with that as it's an important factor I like to spend time with people a lot but unfortunately I can't find a lot that vibe with me which makes it hard. Anyway I'll text you and maybe send pictures and memes that remind me of you I will think of you all the time and miss you.
Loyalty. Very important factor this is the dealbreaker in a relationship I really really don't think it's okay for you to be flirting with other guys behind my back. When I'm in a relationship I keep interactions with other girls to a minimum and exclusively professional or platonic nothing more nothing less I love you and only you I won't do anything behind your back and I expect the same in return.
These 2 points are the most important things to consider anyway I could tell you everything about me but let's save some for later
What I'm looking for. I don't have anything specific in mind.
I want to meet you and learn about you, what you do, what you like and culture maybe? Anyway I want to talk to you about everything and anything. I'm no picky about subjects
If you made it this far down the post what are you waiting for just text me!!!

2021.11.30 11:56 brain_tortion What does AE2 have as advantages over Refined Storage?

As far as I remember, it regards potential complexity. In crafting, sensing how much of an item is there and giving a redstone signal accordingly, etc. But what else is there? I feel like the biggest thing to work around is channels.

2021.11.30 11:56 gorgo_mg For those in need of a little hope the their symptoms can improve - interpreting a BFS follow-up study (plus some stuff about me)

Here is an article I came across last month (link at bottom), thought it might offer some hope to those struggling with anxiety around the severity/persistence of their symptoms. I would guess the article has probably been shared here already, or at least referenced in another post, but for anyone who hasn't seen it this may offer some hope.
All of you should be able to read the abstract, not sure how many of you will have access to the full article, which I get through my academic institution. Pretty much all you really need to know is there in the abstract though. The limitations cited in the paper include that repeat EMG's were not conducted for everyone in the study, but one of the biggest threats to validity (which the authors did not cite) is the loss to follow-up (~35%), which is a common issue in cohort studies. In the article, the authors report percentages for remission and symptom fluctuation within the entire cohort, but keep in mind that this includes patients for whom outcome data was not obtained. In the summary below I have given percentages for remission and fluctuation which excludes those for whom there was no reported outcome, therefor including only the patients which were followed-up. Also note that the sample size is relatively small.
The retrospective study followed a cohort of 37 patients (predominantly male) who presented with fasciculations, some with associated cramping, fatigue, myalgia etc. Patients were investigated with EMG and given a BFS diagnosis. Follow up data was obtained for 24 patients, with a median follow-up time of 4.7 years. Of these 24 patients, 61% of patients with a clean EMG reported symptomatic improvement at follow-up and 57% with an abnormal EMG reported symptomatic improvement. 4 patients (~17% of follow-up cohort) reported complete remission, and 3 patients (12.5% of follow-up cohort) reported a fluctuating course of symptoms. Interestingly, 7 of the patients who were followed-up had been experiencing symptoms for longer than 4 years prior to diagnosis. After follow-up, 5 (70%) of these patients reported symptomatic improvement. Although the authors didn't really touch on this, an important variable to consider when it comes to symptom improvement is time. So, I took it upon myself to use the results data to look at this a little more. In those who reported symptomatic improvement, the median follow-up time was 5.15 years (IQR = 3-10) . In those who reported no symptomatic improvement, the median follow-up time was just 2.2 years (IQR = 1.35-4.7). The difference in follow-up times between those who did and did not report symptomatic improvement was statistically significant (p=0.044). For anyone who doesn't like interpreting stats, basically this means the data suggests that time is a significant factor in symptomatic improvement. Big surprise, right?
The main take-away from this should be that there is a good chance that you will see symptomatic improvement over time. One thing that the authors discussed was persistent, ongoing anxiety in some patients. It would be interesting to know whether or not there was a correlation between persistent anxiety and no symptomatic change, however the authors did not specify this. I would speculate that ongoing anxiety around ALS, EMG results and BFS diagnosis would predispose patients to ongoing symptoms with a lack of improvement, but this is just conjecture. There could be a cyclical effect, with a lack of noticeable improvement within a certain timeframe creating more anxiety for the patient, which further prevents symptomatic improvement. Of course, it should be noted that "symptomatic improvement" is a subjective measure with no set criteria. It is likely safe to assume that this means a decrease in frequency and/or intensity of fasciculations, and a degree of alleviation of other, associated symptoms, but, each individual patients definition of symptomatic improvement could differ.
Something that all should keep in mind when interpreting the results of this is that BFS is just a diagnosis of elimination, with lots of potential underlying causes. Where stress, anxiety, lifestyle, medications, or any other modifiable variable are the cause of your symptoms, then you have an opportunity to improve and eliminate your symptoms, in time. Of course, there are others who experience ongoing symptoms which could be attributable to an underlying co-morbidity, inherited or acquired channelopathy etc, which could play a role in explaining why some patients see no improvement over extended periods of time. Regardless of whether or not anxiety was the initial cause though, continuing to ruminate about your symptoms will do absolutely nothing to improve your situation, but it may well be a contributing factor to a lack of improvement. Work on changing your perception of your symptoms, and understand that you can and will live a full life with or without them, if you allow yourself to. Commit to moving on, and you will likely find that you get better in time, with the aid of appropriate intervention if necessary.
This advice is nothing new. It is the advice that has been passed down for decades, and it is as applicable today as it has always been. It is something I have been implementing myself. For the first month and a bit, my twitching was my absolute enemy and it was of the up-most importance that I eliminate it. Now, I am more accepting of it, don't look at the calendar pondering how long its been and how long recovery will take, and don't put much effort into minimising the symptoms. I've gotten quite slack with taking magnesium and other supplements, I sort of just eat whatever I want, the only consistent measure I've really stuck to is no coffee. Over the months, my symptoms have gotten a lot better because I have removed most of the fear surrounding them. My calves were the worst spot and I had the feelings of bubbling and popping all over the place. Now, when sitting at my desk or at the dinner table, I do notice twitching but it is weak by comparison and less frequent than before. I will say though that I am lucky in the sense that once my twitching started, I realised it was my anxiety driving it and didn't fall victim to chasing a diagnosis, so I haven't spent as much time in a heightened state of anxiety as many of you may have. Even still, if it takes years to get to a point that my body is normal again, then I'm okay with that.
I wrote a post the other day which was supposed to be a sort of stake in the ground, beyond which I was going to move on. But with the feedback I got from some, I thought it might be worth writing another post to discuss this article and again touch on the approach I've taken which has helped in recovery. After all, a little more positivity around here surely can't hurt anyone? This has also been a nice way of procrastinating instead of doing my actual research work!
*If any of you are interested in stats, the method of hypothesis testing I used was a Mann-Whitney U test. The data didn't meet the assumptions for an independent samples t-test.
